Rick started his career in San Diego working for a custom home builder in the early eighties. In 1985 Rick started his own construction company in Southern California. From 1985 to 1992 Rick built custom homes and completed several commercial projects. In 1992 Rick, Kathi his wife, Jenni their daughter and Brian their son moved to Bend. Rick had done an extensive investigation of the best places to live/work on the west coast. Bend and Central Oregon kept showing up at the top of the list. So Bend was the place. Rick continued his building business in a busy Central Oregon through the nineties.  In the late nineties Rick started to develop and build out several Central Oregon subdivisions.

 

In 2003 Rick along with two partners started Building Solutions to meet the growing demand for a material supply business that focuses on customer service. Since Rick came from a building background it was important that Building Solutions also focused on having a well-educated and knowledgeable sales staff. Building Solutions is still striving to improve in all aspects of the building supply business. Rick is proud of the fact that Building Solutions provides the highest quality products and service for its customers.

 

Rick enjoys spending his leisure time with family (especially grandkids), friends, golfing, and biking. He has also committed to return to the tennis courts one day soon. Today Rick is looking for the next challenge in whatever form it takes. As he likes to say, always finish strong.
